It’s summertime, and that means it’s time for Angels Baseball! My husband is a die-hard fan, so every summer we take the drive out to Anaheim, Calif., to see at least two home games.
This season we decided to kick things off with a Southern California classic match-up : The Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I couldn’t decide between my Angels or my Dodgers, so I decided to root, root, root for both teams–even though I was wearing all Angels gear.
The game was fantastic (Dodgers won 3-1) except for one thing. It was hot!! For some unknown reason this game started around 4pm instead of the usual 6pm or 7pm time slot. And as luck would have it, it was about 100 degrees in Anaheim that day. Thank goodness we had an entire cooler full of water bottles and those lovely plastic, blue ice packs (which spent more time pressed up against my face than in the cooler.)
We’ll be heading out to at least one more game this season. Will it be against Seattle? Houston? Oakland? Right now we don’t know; but what we do know is that the game will begin in the evening. No blue ice packs will be required!
